Currently, Galasys is partnering with Orochem Technologies to develop an innovative chemical process that upcycles Greek yogurt acid whey into high-purity tagatose, a low-calorie sweetener with properties similar to traditional table sugar. This process utilizes high-speed, selectively efficient reactions to ensure optimal conversion and purity. Leveraging Orochem's experience in Europe, where they have already established a commercial tagatose production plant, we are excited to bring this advanced technology to the United States.
